Monkey Kisses

Jack loves monkeys and the ones on the Christmas tree are no exception. It's funny how our decorations have changed...I would have never thought I would hang monkeys on the tree...I guess it's going to be a few more years before we bring back out our favorite decorations.
This is an example of how much Jack loves getting his picture taken! Jack has quite the vocabulary these days; however, his favorite words are currently NO and NOPE...I think that is what he was saying here...NO MORE PICTURES!

Thanksgiving 2009

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful lunch with our family at the English Inn. Julia enjoyed her Thanksgiving lunch with a little snooze. We think Jack ate his weight in mashed potatoes, croisants (mine disappeared from my plate), and stuffing...not to mention the Froot Loops that he had for dessert (we were willing to do anything to keep him entertained!). He was a happy guy until it was time to take family photos...he was ready to run wild (can't blame him...and it was nap time). So the best photo that includeds everyone shows Rob's profile and the bottom of Jack's feet...can't say we didn't try!

Jack...ready to eat!

Julia...enjoying lunch!

After many, many attempts...this is the best photo!

This is what happens when you eat too much and miss your nap!

Hello Kitty!

Today was Julia's first day wearing a dress and it was Hello Kitty! I remember Hello Kitty from way back when...it's funny how things come back. There was even a trendy Hello Kitty boutique around the corner from our apartment in Paris. This cute outfit came all the way from our friends in Ireland!

French, English or Spanish?

Jack has learned to count in French...his favorite number is 10...he thinks dix (deece) sounds like cheese! He can also count to 10 in Spanish, but was unwilling to perform for the camera!

Miss Julia - 2 Months

Miss Julia is 2 months old today! It's hard to believe that 2 months have already gone by...she is getting so big (we will find out exactly how big at her check-up on Wednesday). I hesitate to say (as I would rather it not change)... that she only gets up once a night to eat, normally goes to bed easily, and eats about 7 times a day. She is so different from her brother...he ate 12+ times a day...rarely slept and was up most of the night.
Julia mastered rolling from her tummy to her back at 6 weeks and rolls to the left and right! She loves to smile when you make funny faces at her (I am still amazed at the crazy things we will do to get our children to laugh and smile, but it's all worth it)!

On the farm there was a turkey...

This is Jack waiting patiently in the car while Dad runs into the store...

Of course, Mom had to provide a little entertainment...

The Big Fork

Jack was "helping" Dad rake on Saturday afternoon...the rake was called a big fork before he learned the proper name!

The Lingerie Department

Jack had a grand time shopping...
and no I do NOT want this for Christmas!

It's always easier to shop with the Snack Trap!

Julia slept the entire time...

Smiles & Kisses

Julia was full of smiles and Jack was handing out kisses (even to his little sister)!

Michigan State University

On Sunday morning we couldn't pass up the opportunity to be outside - it's November and it was once again sunny and in the 70's - so we headed to the beautiful MSU campus for a stroll!

Jack, Jason & Sparty

There were still leaves on a few trees

Beaumont Tower

Hunter's Orchard Park

We went for a walk at Hunter's Orchard Park on Saturday...the weather was so fantastic that you couldn't tell that it's November! We walked a little over a mile and Jack started out running; however, on the return trip Jack needed to rest so Dad ended up carrying an extra 27 pounds!

Duck Feet & a Monkey

Jack loves his "duck feet" so much that I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to leave the house without them...and since it's November he has started wearing his turkey pj's!

Jack was napping at Grandma & Grandpa's...doesen't this look like a comfortable sleeping position? He is sleeping with some of his favorite friends...joker, monkey and a few other small bears (you can't see them because he is sleeping ON them).
