Happy Christmas 2012

This year there was so much excitement and what a super fun time we had celebrating Christmas! 

Jack thought that Santa may not bring him exactly what he wanted, so he was trying to figure out a few backup plans which included us going to the store to buy all of the "pirate stuff" or going to check out the Giving Tree presents at his school.  Santa brought lots of "pirate stuff"and princesses.  Santa was super kind at our house and included toothpaste, toothbrushes, and floss in their stockings.  Mrs. Claus didn't think that Santa should leave any candy, but Santa thought that was mean :)

Julia's favorite present was a castle (a castle made out of a box that you can color).  She sat and played inside her Sleeping Beauty Castle most of the day!

More Gingerbread Houses

We decorated our gingerbread house on Sunday afternoon!  I believe that there may have also been quite a bit of the candy consumed by the two little ones (they may have still been in their pjs mid afternoon!)....

Not sure that any more candy would fit!

Disneyland

We spent the last five days visiting Disneyland and California Adventure!  The kids had more fun than we could have imagined!  The weather was a bit chilly and wet, but we rode tons of rides and saw tons of characters...

Tow Mater was a favorite in Cars Land and the rides were tons of fun!

Jack couldn't wait to drive a car....belly laughs are the best!  I had lots of bruises from Julia's crazing driving!

Jake and the Neverland Pirates is their favorite show!  How fun it was to meet Jake and we got to see him in a show too....

On our last day we were even lucky enough to run into Santa at our hotel!

A little gingerbread house :)

I had tons of fun decorating this beauty of a gingerbread house with Jack at school yesterday! It's a good thing we took a picture, because it has been completely demolished!

Another Delivery...yeah!

Another box came in the mail today....here they are hard at work (Jack doesn't have a shirt on because he ate Spaghetti O's for lunch)!

Eat More Cake

I had two little helpers that couldn't wait to blow out the candles on my cake....

Our local grocery store carries Cake Boss cakes...how fun and yummy (and full of calories....good thing I burned 500 calories at the gym this afternoon!). The cake is not huge and one serving is 1/18 of the cake....yikes!  Good thing I only have one birthday a year!

Eye Patch

There's nothing wrong with Julia's eye!  Julia has a friend at school that wears an eye patch to help correct her vision and the great thing about being 3 is that you think your friend is super cool because she wears an eye patch!  One morning Julia was throwing a fit because she wanted to wear her pirate eye patch to school and she couldn't find it, she wanted to wear it to look like her friend.  Her friend was kind enough to bring a few eye patches for Julia to try out...

Light Parade

We went to our downtown to check out the light parade.  It was a fantastic night for it, it must have been 50 degrees!  The best part of the parade for J & J was the candy and glow sticks....what more could you want ?!

Boxes!

These crazy kids are so excited when a package comes in the mail because they want to play with the box!  They entertain themselves for at least an hour by coloring and cutting it up (see the window!)....

Lunch, Christmas Trees and Dinosaurs!

Our cute little lunch dates...their brothers were siting beside them, but they didn't look nearly as cute with matching school shirts on :)

After lunch did a little Christmas tree shopping!  They were beyond excited to decorate little trees for their bedrooms!

Thanksgiving 2012

We spent Thanksgiving weekend with our families in Michigan (I hardly took any pictures!)...

We headed home on Saturday afternoon so we could work on our Christmas decorations!  Jack and Julia were so excited...Christmas is going to be FUN this year!

An apple a day...

Trees!

We had two trees cut down today (one in the backyard and one in the front) and it was so exciting for Jack and Julia. Jack wouldn't move away from the window, he was afraid he was going to miss something!

It was too dark outside by the time they finished to take the after picture, so will have to take one tomorrow! It doesn't even look like the same house...

No more berry tree!  Yeah (our house really isn't crooked...it was just the photographer taking a picture from the car after pulling out of the driveway!)...
