Jack's Halloween Party & Trick or Treating!

Jack decided that he would wear the doctor outfit that he got for his birthday from Aunt Anne!  I thought that he was going to wear the gorilla costume (that still fits) for the third year in a row, but he decided that it would be too hot!

They loved parading down the halls for his preschool party (Julia's festivities were yesterday, since she only goes to school on Tuesdays/Thursdays)...

Daddy flew in from CA the night before Halloween (at 2:00 a.m., so I guess it was already Halloween!) and then flew back to CA the same night, but he will tell you it was worth it!  Both kids were so excited this year for Halloween and they couldn't wait to go trick or treating!

Julia's Halloween Party!

Julia loved dressing up as a pirate for her school party!

They paraded through the halls, played games, trick or treated and had a great time!

I was one of the party volunteers, so I got to see all of the action...and non-stop action it was!

Pick Your Plum

I love a good deal....and the kids love owls, so I couldn't pass up the daily Pick Your Plum special!

Figaro

It's always good when the teacher gives you the toy that your daughter brought to school when you go to pick her up....it's not the fact that she brought it to school, but it fell out of her pants when the teacher was taking the kids to the bathroom and she didn't have any pockets :)

Airplanes...

Jack came home today with a backpack full of papers!  He must have had a stack of 20 airplane stencils that he did (he said he used up all of the paper and I believe him!).  First he told me that he made them to hand out when he goes trick or treating (I think he was planning on trading candy for an airplane picture).  Later he decided that he would rather give them ALL to his Dad, because Jack and Dad both love airplanes and Dad loves flying on planes when he goes to CA and NY....

More Halloween Fun...

Our realtor has a fun event every year (ponies, pumpkin decorating, petting zoo...) and this was our second time attending.  I forgot to take pictures of the pumpkin masterpieces....there was lots of glue involved :)

Halloween Party!

We went to some friends house for a Halloween party and brought a few treats along.... 

the little helpers assisted with the eye balls; however, they were more interested in sampling the broken pieces of chocolate than actually helping!

At the last minute Julia decided she wanted to be a pirate for Halloween...

and since we were on our way to Target Miss J was in luck and scored herself a pirate costume (that she modeled with Jack's sunglasses!)....

Jack stripped off his costume as soon as we were in the door...so we are going to have to wait for the reveal of his costume...

What nap?

Julia decided to give up naps at the end of the summer (way earlier than Jack that lasted until he was about 4 1/2!), but somehow Miss J will sneak in a little nap when riding in the car!

Blackberry Farm

This afternoon we went to Blackberry Farm in Aurora with Ma & Pa!  Peddle tractors, train ride, wagon ride, merry go round....super fun!

Jack's New Seat

Jack and Julia both love riding in Daddy's car, but there has been only one seat in his car and it's usually Jack that makes trips about town with Dad, but now that he hit the 40 pound mark we thought we would get a booster seat for Jack and Julia would use Jack's seat in Daddy's car...

He is looking way too big!  Makes me a little sad how fast he is growing up!

Last Tennis Lesson of 2012

Jack absolutely didn't want his picture taken for the last tennis lesson of the year!  He's made a lot of progress....now if only he would listen for the entire lesson (maybe next year!)....

Here's the part Jack has been waiting for!  We always have to light the candles twice, so they can take turns blowing out the candles!

Presents....the doctor outfits from Aunt Anne were a big hit!

Little buddy is 42 1/4 inches tall and 40 pounds!  You love building with Legos, riding your bike, going to school, playing games, and you LOVE your little sister (most of the time!).  You love projects and are a great helper.  You love to do the laundry and you gather everything, sort it and put it in the machine (I add the soap and fold!).  You are always asking me,  "what project can we do next"!  You love to pretend to drive and keep asking us when you will be old enough to drive.  Thank goodness we have at least 10 years before that's going to happen!
