Who knew that $2 worth of pop up laundry bags could provide an afternoon of entertainment!  They sat in them, walked around with them on their heads and ate their snack in them!

Party at Chuck E!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday at Chuck E Cheese (our favorite place to play games and Mom didn't have to clean up a big mess at home!).  I think Jason may have thought I was crazy, but I thought the idea was genius!  Jason loves to play games as much as the next kid...does it really matter that he's thirty something (for another year anyway ;)!

Miss Julia - 18 Months

Little Miss Julia you are 18 months old today!  At your 18 month doctor's appointment last week you weighed 23 pounds 12 oz. (43%) and were 32 3/8 inches tall (69%)!  You gained two pounds and grew two inches since your 15 month appointment!

You are such a fun little girl and always so happy!  Your favorite words are sit down, hi, ma ma ma (you yell it when you want something!), Elmo, Jack, drink.  We love it when you answer "yes" by nodding your head, but the funny part is that you get your entire body moving when you do it!  

You love shoes and clothes, but honestly what girl doesn't....does Daddy realize what trouble he's in...it's already starting at 18 months!

You love to do the Hot Dog Dance with Mickey Mouse and you start dancing whenever you hear music.

You love to eat, but you also love to pretend to eat!  You even say mmm mmm...when you are pretending! 

Your favorite book is Elmo & Friends and you like to show us where Elmo is on every page.  You also love any book that has a picture of a duck in it, you love to yell DUCK!  You love to look at books, you are a speed reader...I have never seen anyone turn pages so fast!  You love to sit in the chair in your room (or Jack's) and read books.

Sometimes the only way to get you to look at the camera is to ask where Mommy is and of course you  must point...so we have lots of pictures with you pointing your finger, but at least you are looking at the camera!

Happy Baptism & Happy Spring!

Julia celebrated her baptism on the first day of spring!  It was quite exciting for Jack as he watched and asked many questions during the service (what are they going to do with those bells?, who is reading the Bible story?, what are we going to do next?...) and very entertaining for the congregation as Jack attempted to climb the stairs to the pulpit during Julia's baptism!  Julia loved the bell choir and she thought it was funny as Pastor O'Neill sprinkled the water on her head!

Cowboy Boots!

Another day...another fashion statement!  I bought the cowboy boots on sale (a really good sale + a coupon!) in December.  It took a few minutes to get the hang of walking in the boots, but now there is no stopping her!

I made Jack's pants for wacky day, but I love them...so he can wear them all the time!  At least they fit (unlike his current pants that are getting too short and he's too skinny to move to the next size)...I guess I "need" to make him some more "wacky" pants!

Overall Overhaul & Chuck E Cheese

One of last weeks projects was the overhaul of Jack's overalls...they had been in a pile to sell and then I had a an idea...this is what happened...looks cute and it was super easy!

We have to find ways to entertain ourselves indoors until summer...so today was Chuck E Cheese...

Chuck E made a special appearance for us and it really was just for us, as we were the only ones there!

Cookbooks!

Julia decided that board books are overrated and she would rather read a few cookbooks...at least someone is reading them!  Don't mind the snack that is all over her face and shirt and the unmatched clothes!

PJ Day

This week at school there is a different theme each day and today was PJ day...so strange to have Jack get undressed this morning and then put on another pair of PJs.  He can't wait for Thursday...his wacky clothes are ready to go...

The Best Day of Swim Class...

...is the last day of swim class!  I used to take tons of pictures at every class, but with two active children...it's no longer possible.  They both loved their swim classes, but I am happy to be finished for now!  I would rather the pool be outside in the warm sunshine (not happening in MI in the middle of winter!)...not humid with the wonderful scent of chlorine in the air...
