Dad I just got a tattoo...

Just a word of advice little buddy...your Dad will probably ground you for life if you come home with a real tattoo so you better enjoy the ones that stick on with a little water and come off after a bath!

The Easter Bunny

Jack LOVES the Easter Bunny!  We have been reading lots of books about Easter and the Easter Bunny.   I have also enticed Jack into the mall a few times by promising to visit the Easter Bunny, but he hadn't arrived yet (the Easter Bunny doesn't arrive a month early like Santa).  The Easter Bunny was finally at the mall this morning and Jack loved it!  We were the only ones there so he had lots of quality time with the bunny, but he wouldn't sit still next to the bunny long enough to take a picture...

Carnival

Jack loved the carnival at his new preschool (he will be attending in the fall).  He picked out ducks for prizes, went fishing, played plinko, rolled balls and picked his favorite number 2 at the "hand game"!  The best part was cashing in his stamps at the prize table.  He left with a new ball and two little monkeys!

The Super Big Digger

There's a little boy that loves that we live in a subdivision with lots of digger action!  We walked down the street to check out the super big digger and then at dinner Jack told his dad that he was spinning the digger wheels...yeah right..is the fibbing starting already!

I had fun...

Our little Jack makes us laugh!  His new thing is telling us how much fun he had (no matter what it is).  He even tells his Dad how much fun he had brushing his teeth and if you have ever heard Jack getting his teeth brushed you would know that NOBODY is having fun.  After tumbling class today he told us how much fun he had, but you wouldn't know it if you saw him during class.  For some odd reason the room scares him when he first gets there.  Dad came to watch today and Jack didn't want to let go of his hand.  Jack really likes to do his own thing in class and it's a lot of work keeping him on track!  Only one more week to go...yeah!...I think it really is the longest 1/2 hour!

Miss Julia - 6 Months

Little Miss Julia you are 6 months old today! You are such a sweet little girl.  We will find out how much you have grown at your six month appointment the beginning of April.  You are wearing your 3-6 month clothes and probably will fit into most of them for at least another month.  This last week you started waking up twice a night to eat, but I just realized today that it could be because you are teething.  The wakings along with the rosey cheeks could mean your first tooth is on it's way (that's what happened with your brother).  You love playing in your Jumperoo, just last week you really figured out how that thing works and you jump like mad.  You still love playing in your gym and attacking the little orange monkey.  You love rolling around on the floor and playing with your toys.  You love to sit up, but still need a bit of help from the Boppy pillow.  You are entertained by your big brother and you love to watch him as he runs around.  You started eating rice cereal and peas a few days ago and you seem to love both of them.  You are a messy little eater...you like to eat with your fingers and your bib in your mouth!  It's really hard to believe that you are already 1/2 year old! xoxo

When Jack was about a month old I found this monkey costume on the clearance rack at Gap. It would have been the wrong size for Halloween, but I still had to have it...

Princess & the Peas

Julia is getting the hang of eating and today she loved her peas!  The only problem...she likes to eat with her fingers in her mouth and loves to chew on the bib...makes for a nice little mess!

Cereal

Julia had her first taste of rice cereal last night (a few days before she turns 6 months)...she wasn't super fond of it.  She had a bit more for lunch today and is really starting to get the hang of it...she downed two entire teaspoons ;)

Ta Da

Jack has been taking tumbling class for the last few weeks and I am going to predict that he will not be a gymnast!  These pictures were taken before class...as there is way too much going on during class (me chasing Jack around the room...).

Watch Out Ladybugs!

Jack just got up from his nap (nice hair!) and wanted to go outside to see the garage doors...he loves it when they go up and down...sound effects included. These days he is also obsessed with ladybugs...they should hide when they hear him coming.

Bath for Two

I never imagined that bathtime could be such an event...Jack and Julia had a great time in the tub together!  Not the best picture, but the only one with both of them looking at the camera.  Julia was splashing like crazy and Jack was fascinated with her little chair (apparently he doesn't remember using it!).

Storytime!

Yesterday we happened upon storytime at Barnes & Noble while we were at the mall with Grandma.  Julia was studying and watching everything!  It's looking like Julia may love books as much as Jack.  Jack loved the singing part of storytime and announced rather loudly..."let's sing it again".

It's a Date...

Jack had so much fun playing with his new pal Issac this morning!  Issac got to experience Jack's way of snacking (Jack snacks on one of the kitchen rugs!).

They made a small mess, but it's nothing new at our house and they had fun so that's all that really matters!
