Happy Halloween!

Julia's first Halloween!

Julia loves to sit up so we tried out the Bebe Pod today and she loved it! Our little girl is getting so big...last week at her 1 month appointment she weighed in at 8 pounds and 11 ounces (up 2 pounds since we left the hospital!) and 21 3/4 inches long!

This is not the best picture, but it's the best of many trying to get a picture of Jack & Julia together!

Happy Birthday Ma!

Happy Birthday Ma! Today is Ma's birthday, but we celebrated last Sunday...

Jack's been able to spell his name for the last few months, but I was just able to get it on video!

Letters & Numbers

A few of Jack's obessions...numbers and letters...so his new pj's from Ma & Pa are very appropriate! We just need to wait a few months for Julia to fit into her matching number pj's for another picture! We have gotten to the point where Jack points out the letters and numbers on signs (it's really quite amusing) and he has discovered that his books have numbers on the bottom of the page and it's very important to point them out!

Jack loves playing in Julia's closet (not that there's tons of better places to play)...he likes to take out all of her socks and hide them around her bedroom....sometimes I wonder if he even needs any toys!

One Month for Julia!

Julia is officially one month old today! We had to celebrate by taking a few pictures...check out her strawberry hat (it's a little big, but we couldn't wait...it's too cute to not try on!)...maybe I took more than a few pictures, but I couldn't help myself! Julia has finally graduated from her newborn pj's and is ready to wear some of her new clothes, which means more opportunities for more pictures!

Off with Baby's Socks!

Jack has finally taken a liking to his baby sister...he is even giving her kisses (normally only reserved for his bears). He decided today that it would be a fun game to take off Julia's socks and proudly announce "off with baby's socks!".

Almost One Month...

Little Miss Julia is 4 weeks old today...two more days to go before she is officially one month! We had to try out her flower headband this morning!

Just another day...

It was finally nice enough this afternoon to head outside for a walk and a little playtime...

Julia tried out her new playmat this afternoon...Jack was also a big fan...he promptly laid claim to the orange monkey!

You may be wondering why Julia always has the giraffe...I was wondering the same thing...I didn't remember putting it in her swing with her and then I realized that her big brother has been kind enough to always give her the giraffe (Jack doesn't realize that the giraffe used to be his!)...Julia is also wearing Jack's pj's...I know they are blue, but they were my favorite!

It's October...more pumpkins

It's October so we can't get enough pumpkins...we went to Old Country Mill with Grandma & Grandpa this afternoon!

Jack was a big fan of the donuts!

Julia all bundled up...taking a snooze (check out those cheeks!)... she looks big in this picture; however, she weighed in at a little over 8 pounds at the beginning of the week!

Elmo Pj's

I just couldn't resist...check out Jack in his Elmo Pj's (the backside is too cute!)...not sure why, but the little guy loves Elmo!

Pumpkins!

We went to check out the pumpkins (cider and donuts too!) at the Old Country Mill this afternoon...Jack had lots of fun playing with the straw and sitting in the huge crates of pumpkins!

It was too cold for Julia to get out with the pumpkins...so this was going to have to do! Hopefully it will warm up a bit before Halloween and will we go back to the pumpkin patch!

The Best Toy Ever...

This is one of the best toys...Jack got LeapFrog Tag Jr. for his birthday and he loves it! We are amazed at how quickly he figured out how it works and how long he will sit and play with it! Curious George is his favorite book...no surprise here...he loves anything with a monkey! This afternoon he misplaced TAG and he was wandering around saying TAG, TAG! The only problem is that he thinks that TAG works with all of his books...so we have to keep telling him that it only works with the books with the green cover.

Talking on the cell phone while driving...

Not sure where Jack picked this up...since I rarely even have my cell phone turned on!

It amazes me that Julia is able to sleep with all of the noise that her big brother makes....along with his newfound skill of throwing tantrums...is this a new baby thing or a 2 year old thing?

Goodnight Moon!

Jack's favorite book is Goodnight Moon...he loves to point out the little mouse on every page and he is obsessed with the moon. Jack looks out the window every night to look for the moon and he was in luck for about three nights in a row and he was able to see the moon...he was so excited!

Happy Birthday to Jack!

We celebrated Jack's 2nd birthday on Saturday with his Grandma's and Grandpa's (Jack likes to call them his two Ma's and two Pa's)...the best part was the cake...he was in love! As for presents...we learned that it is easy to overwhelm a two year old with presents. He spent most of his time opening one present...a huge bag of blocks and then he proceeded to take them out of the bag (all 80 of them) one at a time.

The Sugar Shack

It's all about the cake....Jack went with Jason on Saturday to the Sugar Shack to pick up his birthday cake...it was a GIANT cupcake with a blue car on top (it's what he wanted)! This was the best cake I have ever had...they also sell fantastic cupcakes and the margarita cookies are a must!

Jack goes to the doctor...

Jack celebrated his second birthday with a visit to the doctor's office...he was a little ham...talking up a storm. When the nurse came in to give him his shots she introduced herself and Jack promptly called her by her name... it was so funny and it made her day! The little/big guy weighed in at 27.6 pounds (44%) and 35 3/4 inches tall (84%)...it looks like he will be taking after his dad!

Julia's First Bath

Julia actually enjoyed her first bath....which was such a surprise for us as Julia's big brother hated taking his first baths!

We couldn't leave Jack out...he now loves taking a bath and it's hard to get him out of the tub!
