An Afternoon Nap!

I'm at wit's end when it comes to afternoon napping!  Jack FINALLY moved into a "big boy" bed about a month ago, but just last week we took the crib out of his room.  We used the crib as a small threat..."if you get out of your new bed, you will have to start sleeping in your baby bed again!"  He didn't get out of his new bed, but now that the crib is gone from the room it's a whole different story.  Jack may think he doesn't NEED an afternoon nap, but this is where I found him this afternoon when I went to get him up.

Dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's

The day after Thanksgiving...we had dinner at Grandma & Grandpa's!

Miss Julia LOVES babies!

Playing after dinner (love the diaper and brown socks!).  It's always a naked dining experience (only for Jack & Julia!) when spaghetti is for dinner.  Guess how much Julia ate...just check out the belly!

Thanksgiving 2010

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I was so ever thankful that this cute little guy didn't have a meltdown the entire day...even without a nap!

I think I have finally realized that maybe, just maybe Julia looks a bit like her mommy!

I had to have a picture of Julia's cute Thanksgiving skirt...all of these other pictures were taken after dinner and she had changed her clothes...since she was NOT going to be eating dinner in a white sweater!

Miss Julia - 14 Months

Little Miss Julia you are 14 Months old today!

You are now walking most of the time and last week you figured out how to stand up in the middle of the floor!  Watch here you come!

You have recently started sleeping with your baby and you love to give her kisses and hugs!  You love to wear the Twister rings (you threw a FIT when I tried to take them off for a picture!).  One of your favorite toys is the Sodor musical caboose (it's technically Jack's and you have worn out the batteries!).  A new favorite book this month is Silly Sally.

Most days you still take two naps a day and sleep about 12 hours a night!

You started trying to eat your yogurt with a spoon and throw a fit when the spoon is taken away (even when the bowl is empty!).  You LOVE bananas (you threw another small fit at the grocery store today when they were put in the cart!) and you could eat your weight in raspberries!  If someone is eating something that you don't have, you must absolutely have some for yourself!

You love to pretend!  You pretend to eat and talk on the phone.  You also love to finger paint, but have to be watched VERY closely as you like to perform taste tests. 

You love to snuggle and put your head on our shoulder and you love when your brother gives you a head kiss!

Getting ready for winter...brrrr!

As I was getting out all of our winter gear Julia wanted to try on all of the hats and scarves!  I didn't realize all of the dress-up games would begin so early!

Don't mind the huge mess...I was cleaning out the closet!

The 50 States!

Jack's newest passion...the 50 States!

Sometimes it's hard to figure out what is "normal" for a 3-year old, but I am not sure that this is normal...as  I would have to bet that the majority of adults couldn't get them all correct! 

Little Brown Eyed Girl!

I love it...

She's a mover...walking everywhere!  Julia hasn't quite figured out how to stand up in the middle of the floor, so when she falls she starts walking on her knees!  Here she is in action...

Finger Painting!

Not sure what came over me, but I decided to finally get out the finger paints (I must have felt that I needed another mess to clean up!)...  We headed to the bathtub after the masterpieces were completed!

As Jack would say, "What beautiful pictures!"
