Jack enjoys flirting with all of the girls and Thanksgiving was no exception! After he was finished eating his dinner he started dancing in his chair trying to get the attention of Danielle sitting next to him...never a dull moment.

Jack has never had a chance to explore the kitchen...it was off limits in Paris. Who knew the kitchen cupboards could be so funny!

It only took Jack a few days to master the stairs. Now he wants to climb them all the time....thank goodness for baby gates!

We have to wait until Sunday for the cake, but here Jack tries a birthday donut. Jack was not the least bit interested as it must have hit the floor at least three times, but finally he licked his fingers for a taste of the frosting.

Watch Me Escape!

We have had to be creative with the baby gates...Evian bottles then boxes in France and a plastic bin at Grandma & Grandpa's. Over the last few days Jack figured out how to escape and we have had to change the "gate" once again to an ottoman. It will be strange to have proper baby gates once we move into our house.

Jack has been trying really hard to get up the stairs....it's a good thing we will be moving soon!

Tour de France 2008

We spent Sunday afternoon waiting for the arrival of the final stage of the Tour de France into Paris. Jack loved all of the action!

Ten Apples Up On Top

Jack loves his books and his absolute favorite one is Ten Apples Up on Top by Dr. Seuss! We let him choose which book to read and it's always the same choice. It's so cute how he gets excited every time you read it to him! The only bad part is he wants you to read it to him to him over and over....until we manage to distract him with another one of his favorites that has us making animal sounds!

Jumping Jack still enjoys his Jumperoo, but now he looks like he might jump right out of it! He won't stay in it for very long (he would rather be exploring), but it's the only way to get the vacuuming done, since Jack loves the vacuum cleaner just as much as he loves the Swifter.

Jack & Dad Playing

Jack and Dad were playing with the stacking rings (Jack thinks it's funny when they are on his head!) just fine...that is until Mom got out the video camera!

We have had to be creative with the furniture since Jack likes to play in places that he shouldn't. Jack is trying to find the computer and is having a few difficulties locating it...

Follow the Rings

It's amazing how Jack can entertain himself with the colored rings. He happily chases them around the living room...that is until he gets distracted (which happens easily and often). Here he has gotten close to the computer and he just can't help himself...the flashing light and the power button are too tempting to ignore!

Watch Out Here I Come!

So maybe last week Jack wasn't venturing too far, but this week it's a different story. Jack is exploring everywhere and everything! Watch out here I come!

Jack didn't like the toys mom picked out for him to play with...so he took matters into his own hands!

On the move!

We wouldn't exactly call it crawling, but Jack uses a spin, wiggle, shimmy, roll maneuver to get where he wants to go. He hasn't ventured too far yet, but it won't be long!

It can be a bit messy, actually really messy, but Jack loves to feed himself. He even found a bit of bonus food in the pocket of his bib.

Finger Foods

It's been new food month for Jack...so far he's tried rice cakes, Rice Krispies, biscuits and Cheerios. Don't ask why I felt the need to put the Rice Krispies on a plate since the plate was promptly overturned and Rice Krispies were everywhere! Normally General Mills products are banned in our household, but Grammy was kind enough to send us some Cheerios. They are by far Jack's favorite. It's a purchase we will make when we come to MI for a visit. They sell Cheerios here at the American food store; however, they are 12 euros for a box (that's more than $18!). Yikes!!!

NASCAR Fan!
