Memorial Day 2012

It was super hot, but we had tons of fun at the Memorial Day parade (one child is more willing to have her picture taken than the other)...

Party, Bouncy House & Baby

Another one of the events this weekend was a Memorial Day party at one of the neighbor's houses...this along with the pool opening has made for one exciting weekend!  Both kids couldn't wait to play in the bouncy house and what was even more exciting...there were two of them!

Julia had lots of fun with the pinwheel...that she kept calling a flag!

All cleaned up after the second shower of the day (it was hot, hot, hot and we also spent the morning at the pool!).  Miss J loves her Bitty Baby!

We can't wait for more excitement tomorrow...

Opening Day

The countdown for the pool opening has been going on for some time now and today was finally the day!  Jack and Julia couldn't wait for it to FINALLY be Saturday!

They both had tons of fun playing in the water!  

I knew last year I couldn't handle both of them at the pool, but they are finally at a good age and I can handle both of them by myself at the pool during the week ...so guess where we are going to be spending our summer :)

The Last Day of School

Today was the last day of WSCA!  Jack had a great year and met lots of new friends...

It's that time of year...

One thing has not changed...these two didn't want their picture taken on the first day of school or the last!  Both have loved going to Children's Day Out every Monday morning.  Julia started the school year crying at every drop off, but now the big girl (she like to tell everyone how big she is!) loves going to school.  It's cute to hear her talk about all of her little friends!  Jack has always enjoyed going, but he prefers going to preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  The big difference for Jack between the two programs was at CDO there was not always the same group of kids in class (it just depends on who is signed up for the day).  It's hard to believe that the school year ended so quickly...

Tennis & Slurpees

Yesterday morning we all went to the tennis courts and both kids were amazingly good...not to mention Jack was a great ball boy!  We didn't have to chase any of our tennis balls!  Slurpees were in order for a cool down, it must have been almost 80 degrees by 9:00 a.m.!

Allergy Tests!

Julia finally had her allergy tests done yesterday (we were at the doctor's office for 2 hours for all of the testing) and we found out that some of her blood work allergy test came back with a false positive result (yeah!).  She does have a tree nut allergy, but at least she can still eat peanut butter (her favorite!).  She was so good getting the tests done that they gave her a sucker and she kept calling it a soccer ball!  She thought the doctor was the greatest when he brought her a snack (peanut butter and crackers)...the "snack" was the double check to make sure she wasn't allergic to peanuts (she had already been eating peanut butter for over a year, so I was not surprised that she was perfectly fine!).

Mother's Day 2012

Saturday afternoon we went to a super fun birthday party for our friend B!

Both J & J had a great time and fell fast asleep as soon as we got home after having tons of fun in the pool!

J & J were both excited to go to the dentist this morning...they already had plans for which color toothbrush they were going to pick before we even got to the office...

Jack was determined to do it all by himself this time (with a little help from George)...

Julia was great too, she sat on my lap for the cleaning and exam, but at least she let them do it this time (I think it was the sunglasses they had her wear!).  She will be ready to go solo next trip too :)
