It was the perfect morning for an outdoor birthday party for one of our friends that is turning 3!

American Girl

Scavenger Hunts & Tea Parties

After visiting Grandma & Grandpa for a few days we headed over to Ma & Pa's...

We spent a lot of time doing scavenger hunts in the yard (there are all sorts of fun things to find at their house)...

and Ma's new tupperware tea set was a big hit!

MSU Children's Garden

We went to MI to visits all of the grandparents and we went to Michigan State with Grandma & Grandpa to go see the Children's Garden, the Dairy Store (yummy ice cream!) and downtown EL!

One of J & J's favorite activities is pretending to drive places...they line up two chairs and one is the driver and the other is the passenger (it's so funny!) and then I really had to laugh when they were pretending to drive to Target to make returns (I have no idea where that came from!!!)...so they had a fantastic time driving to all of their favorite pretend places in the train!

Tennis Lessons

Today was Jack's final tennis lesson for the summer (fall lessons start the end of the month!) and he has made tons of progress...

Pirate's Cove

We went to Pirate's Cove today with our friends!  It's a super fun amusement park for children ages 2-9, so it was the perfect size and all of the kids had a great time!

Soccer

We signed up for soccer today and J & J tried out a class (they both loved it!) and they had to try on their new uniforms as soon as we got home...

Downtown Naperville

We met some friends and went to a magic show at the library and after we took a stroll on the river walk...we have such a fun downtown!

Lincoln Park Zoo

We LOVE Lincoln Park Zoo in Downtown Chicago and today was no exception!

The Ultimate Prize...

Julia really wanted a pink preschool t-shirt (just like Andrew's sister Emily!) and knew she could get one as soon as she started wearing underwear all the time...she did it and we bought the pink t-shirt (and she had to show her blue finger nails...also a potty incentive!)...

Swimming Lessons

Today was Jack's last day of swimming lessons at our clubhouse pool...

He had a great time taking lessons and really did a great job...currently he can swim as long as he can breathe underwater.  He started learning to turn his head to breathe, but it still needs some work...

Julia wanted to taken lessons...maybe next summer!
