Little Daredevil

No fear for the little daredevil...Jack had been going down the slide on his belly, but WOW going backwards is way more fun!

The Long Way...

Who knew you could get so much exercise from the stacking rings...the funny thing is that this is not the first time he has done it this way!

Jack's Newest Obsession...BUBBLES!

Jack loves BUBBLES (not that you can see any of them in these pictures)! He knows where they are in the garage and will bring us the bottles of bubbles (not to mention it's too cute when he says it). Bubbles are even a must in the bathtub!

Playing outside in my PJs...

Oh my, do you believe that my mom let me play outside in my pajamas?

Early Morning Fun!

Having a little fun before breakfast! Not sure what's going to happen once this outside toy
actually goes outside! It will be nice to have the living room look a bit more "normal" again (not sure what a normal look is anymore...toys all over?).

A Little Bit Under the Weather...

If you have seen Jack in action you will know that this is not normal. The poor little guy has a horrible cough and runny nose...I think he figured out that he was supposed to have surgery tomorrow and decided now was the best time to get sick...Other than a runny nose this is the first time that he really has not felt good in 18 months (we have been really lucky!).

Saturday at the Park

We had so much fun at the park on Friday that we went again on Saturday (we had to take advantage of the weather being nice two days in a row!)...but just because the slide was tons of fun yesterday doesn't mean that it was today! One thing was the same, he didn't any part of being confined in a swing. Today Jack entertained himself in the sand and enjoyed his freedom.

The Park & a Pony

Friday morning we had a play date at the park and Jack spent the majority of the time climbing up the steps and sliding down the slide (head first). He had so much fun that he didn't want to go home; however, he was a tired little boy and slept for 3 1/2 hours in the afternoon!

Another haircut for Jack...last time we promised Jack a pony ride when he was finished with his hair cut (not that he even remembers), but when we went to find the ponies they had vanished. Meijer had taken the ponies out of all of their stores, which is sad for us because we remember the ponies from when we were little....

...Meijer must have had enough complaints to return the ponies...so Jack had his first penny pony ride after his hair cut!

Jack loves cars....

...so we have to watch where we walk. There's normally a large collection of cars "driving" around in the kitchen at any given moment. It must be a boy thing?

18 Months!

Thursday we went to the doctor's for Jack's 18-month appointment (18-months already!)...he weighed in at a whopping 25 1/2 pounds and is almost 33 inches (32.8 to be exact!) tall. He is quite the conversationalist and says a little over 30 words...not counting "Jack" words...as he has created some of his own words (the doctor assured me this is normal). Jack is in for a rude awakening next month as the doctor suggested that there should be no thumb sucking during the day. He never used a bottle or a pacifier so we have been lucky to not have these transitions; however, in theory these both sound easier to take away than the thumb that is permanently connected!

Can't Read Just One

We've created a book monster...Jack does love to read and he will let you know exactly which book needs to be read and how many times you need to read it to him. Jack also enjoys reading by himself...he's a speed reader and he can't read just one!

Go Fly a Kite!

We had a great time flying our new Elmo kite yesterday afternoon...until Jason accidently let go
of the string and Elmo went up, up, and away and has now taken up residence in the neighbor's tree. At least Jack's not old enough to get upset...he now points to the tree and says ELMO! Jack usually looks out the window for birds and the neighbor's dog...now he can look for Elmo too.

Scooby Doo Shoes

Jack loves shoes...

We can't wait for summer to wear the New Scooby Doo Crocs

No matter how many times we tell him they are shoes Jack still calls them "gaas"...

Check out the new shoes in action...he's obviously having more fun with the bag hanging on the chair...sometimes Jack can be easily entertained!

Dad Still Looks the Same...

Jason will be happy to know that Jack thinks his dad looks the same today as he did at 17...
At Grandma & Grandpa's yesterday we were told many times that was his dada!
